আইপিডিসি ফাইন্যান্স লিমিটেড-এর উদ্যোগে বাংলাদেশের মাটি ও মানুষের গান নিয়ে একটি ভিন্ন মাত্রার সঙ্গীতায়োজন 'IPDC আমাদের গান'। এই আয়োজনের অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য আমাদের সমৃদ্ধ লোকজ সংগীতকে বিশ্বের সামনে তুলে ধরা।

আবদুল লতিফ (১৯২৫-২০০৫) একজন খ্যাতনামা বাংলাদেশী গীতিকার, সুরকার ও কণ্ঠশিল্পী। উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় থেকে মেট্রিকুলেশন পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হবার পর তিনি উচ্চ শিক্ষার্থে কলকাতায় যান। কংগ্রেস সাহিত্য সংঘে তিনি ১৬ বছর বয়স থেকে গান গাইতে শুরু করেন। ১৯৪৮ সালের জুলাই মাসে তিনি ঢাকায় আসেন এবং পরের মাসে রেডিও পাকিস্তানের নিয়মিত শিল্পী হিসেবে যোগ দেন। তিনি নিয়মিত বিভিন্ন মঞ্চ অনুষ্ঠানে গান গাইতেন এবং ভাষা আন্দোলনে অণুপ্রেরণা যোগাতেন। ১৯৫২ সালে আব্দুল গাফফার চৌধুরীর লেখা আমার ভাইয়ের রক্তে রাঙানো গানটিতে তিনি সুরারোপ করেন। পরবর্তীকালে গানটিতে সুরারোপ করেছিলেন আলতাফ মাহমুদ। তিনি তার জীবনে অসংখ্য গানে সুরারোপ করেছেন এবং কন্ঠ দিয়েছেন। পরবর্তীকালে তিনি নিজেও ভাষা আন্দোলনের উপর অসংখ্য গান রচনা করেছেন, তন্মধ্যে ‘ওরা আমার মুখের কথা কাইড়া নিতে চায়’, ‘আমি দাম দিয়ে কিনেছি বাংলা’ ইত্যাদি সবিশেষ জনপ্রিয় । এদেশের সঙ্গীতে অসাধারণ অবদানের জন্য ২০০২ সালে দেশের সর্বোচ্চ বেসামরিক পুরস্কার হিসাবে পরিচিত স্বাধীনতা পুরস্কার প্রদান করা হয় তাঁকে।
